Know the Topics Before You Are in Labor
Birth can involve many decisions in a short period of time. Educational sessions can cover common topics families may encounter, such as induction and augmentation, oxytocin/Pitocin, pain-management options, monitoring, lighting and room environment, skin-to-skin, cord-clamping timing, newborn erythromycin eye ointment, vitamin K, feeding preferences and routine newborn procedures.
Questions, Not Medical Directives
We help you understand terminology, organize your questions, think through your preferences and know what to ask your obstetrician, midwife, pediatrician, hospital or birth center. We do not tell clients to accept or refuse medical treatment.
Partner & Family Preparation
Sessions can include spouses or support people so everyone understands the family’s priorities before labor begins.
